Virginia's public schools are responsible for the academic success of all students in the state. Using data from the Virginia Department of Education on Virginia SOL reading proficiency, we estimate the overall SOL proficiency rate for students in grades 3-8 by school division, year, and demographic group. Please see our methods page for more on how we obtained these estimates.
